This morning I am ready if you are,
Your stronger palm pressed against mine,
To take the small step I’ve dreaded so long.
I’ll let you drag me.
No matter the fear I’ll let you.
I want this now, no matter
The knot in my heart or the past
That I’m leaving behind
You’ll heave me over the walls I’ve built –
By all means knock them down if you have to.
I’ll fight you, hold tighter.
Make me go.
I am ready if you are
To leave this place we once loved
To go together into difference and light
And fly
